Dr. Rose earned his doctorate in physics at the Carnegie Institute of Technology (now Carnegie Mellon University) and pursued a career of research and high technology management. After twenty years with Ford Aerospace, where he attained the position of Group Vice President, he joined Henkels & McCoy as Executive Vice-President/COO in 1985. Named President/COO in 1987 and CEO five years later, Dr. Rose succeeded Paul M. Henkels, son of the founder, in that position. Paul M. Henkels, principal architect of the company’s transition to a national presence, continues as Henkels & McCoy’s Chairman.
    Rod Henkels, representing the founding family’s third generation of leadership, began his career working in the field during summers while attending Merrimack College. Graduating in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, he became a full-time employee and advanced rapidly through positions of increasing operational management challenge, which led to his election as Chief Operating Officer in 1998.
    Henkels & McCoy is one of the nation’s largest privately held firms supporting the telecommunications, electric and gas energy industries with a broad range of infrastructure design, construction and maintenance services. Founded in 1923 by John B. Henkels, Jr., and headquartered in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, the company conducts business throughout the United States and in a number of foreign countries.
