Over the years, we have established ourselves as
a trusted resource for operating telephone companies. We serve this market through the design,
engineering, and installation of local loop infrastructure and
equipment. At present, we work for the ten largest operating
telephone companies in the United States as well as many of the
smaller, leading independents.
We are specialists in the route design
and placement of long-haul fiber optic cable, having installed
thousands of miles for long-distance, interexchange, and carriers'
carriers.
Our commitment to innovation is exemplified
by our Railroad Mounted Cable Plow. Originally patented
by Henkels & McCoy in 1970, this tool has revolutionized
long-distance cable laying, turning feet per day into miles per
day.
Our general contracting group
meets the demand for space in telco central offices. We provide
skilled trades and project management to upgrade space (electrical,
HVAC, structural) to support new users. Additional services include
Point of Presence (POP) sites and loop electronics.
Henkels & McCoy built the first Community
Antenna Television (CATV) system in the United States. Today,
we provide a full range of services including planning, design,
project management, construction, maintenance, and training. |
